ABOUT THE SANTA FE FAMILY LIFE CENTER
"As the largest charitably based multi-sport facility in Oklahoma City, the Santa Fe Family Life Center provides a family friendly atmosphere to improve health and well-being while giving back to the community."
The Santa Fe Family Life Center ("SFFLC") began in 2006, expanding the healthy activities available at the facility and opening the doors to charitable organizations in the community. Previously, the center’s emphasis was a private club primarily for tennis and squash, and operated as the Santa Fe Fitness and Racquet Club. In order to better serve the community, in 2007 the Santa Fe Family Life Center added a swimming pool, and expanded the fitness and basketball programs. Today, the center is a comprehensive health club that provides fitness opportunities for the entire community. Click here for more membership information.
In addition to fitness and racquet membership opportunities, the SFFLC focuses on offering and promoting programs designed to empower disadvantaged youth and people with disabilities to achieve improved fitness and well-being. Membership at the SFFLC supports both the individual and our programs: Support healthy activites for those in need by getting fit with us! The SFFLC believes that finances should never be a barrier to healthy activities, and a scholarship program assists families unable to afford access to sports leagues or exercise facilities.
Our vision is to become Oklahoma's leader in providing healthy activities for all people.
The SFFLC carries out its mission by embracing the following core values:
- Integrity - Dealing honestly, truthfully, and accurately with all members, guests, and community partners.
- Service - Being involved in impacting our community in a positive way.
- Excellence - Challenging staff and those we serve to be passionate, indomitable, and effective in everything.
Support for the not-for-profit programs at the SFFLC is provided for by the contributions of caring individuals and organizations, and by hosting the John F. Kennedy Community Service Awards. The awards are presented to Oklahomans who through their philanthropic efforts have served our community in lasting and meaningful ways. For more information about the awards or to make a contribution, please see http://www.jfkaward.com/index.html.
The partnerships we have with many organizations -- Special Olympics Oklahoma, Positive Tomorrows school for homeless children, Center of Family Love, OKASA, and Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center -- help us fulfill our ongoing endeavor, made possible by the compassion and shared vision of concerned community partners who understand the importance of investing in families and children with the resource of time, money and mentoring through sports and healthy activities in a safe and positive environment.
The Santa Fe Family Life Center is the community outreach of the Columbus Corporation of Oklahoma City, Inc., a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. In addition to the full-time staff, support for the center's activities is provided by volunteers from the Knights of Columbus Oklahoma Council #1038 and our community partners, as well as various other individuals and organizations from the community. The Santa Fe Family Life Center's programs provide help to individuals in need through the Catholic tradition of service.
